The groundbreaking “Grateful Dead Movie” was released in selected theaters in 1977 – complete with Rock & Roll strength sound reinforcement provided by the Dead. This movie set the standard for rock films for years. The movie was remastered for DVD release in 2004 with Jerry Garcia’s original surround mix along with fresh 5.1 surround and stereo mixes by Jeffrey Norman. I mastered the audio for this project over a memorable, marathon two week session.
