SENIOR MASTERING ENGINEER
RANDY LEROY JOINED AIRSHOW in 2010 after spending 30 years in Nashville. After the Recording Industry Management program at Middle Tennessee Sate University, Randy worked in A&R for CBS Records, before switching to engineering. After learning his craft from the legendary Glenn Meadows at Masterfonics, he continued to refine his skills as the operator of Final Stage Mastering, before joining Airshow.
Randy works in Takoma Park Mastering A & Mastering B.
Randy’s favorite piece of gear:
“My favorite pieces of gear that I use daily are the GML 9500 & Sontec MES-432 C/6 mastering equalizers. I’ve always loved to change the “bass, mids, and treble” knobs on any piece of musical or studio gear that has them. Why? Because I’ve always thought I could make it sound better. Sometimes I’m right, other times I just leave it alone.”
